Children need high-quality, accessible healthcare coverage in order to enhance their overall well-being, augment their ability to grow and learn, and help them better develop into healthy, productive adults. The New England Alliance for Children’s Health supports public policies that promote access to high-quality, accessible healthcare for all children.

As clinicians, community leaders, hospital representatives, educators, business leaders, legal experts, parents and consumers, we believe it is essential to expand private and public health insurance programs — including fully funding programs such as Medicaid and SCHIP — to ensure access to care.

Through proactive policy development, information sharing and public outreach, at both the federal and state levels, we are working to increase awareness of children’s healthcare coverage issues, broaden support for federal and state funding, and maximize the quality of coverage and care in pediatrics.
